NASL Soccer Los Angeles Aztecs 76 Road George Best, Elton John These pictures are from '76.   The players  are wearing the '74-75 jerseys.  It is unclear if this is just an early season photo opportunity.  All the pictures seem to be taken at the same time with Elton John in many of the pictures.  There are no people in the stands.  Need more research to verify whether these jerseys were actually worn in '76.

In the George Best photo below, you can see the same technique using the white under-cloth.  The cheerleader's number is applied the normal way.

Other:   This is from a 1977 playoff game. This is the only time they wore these jerseys.  I was told by a former Sounders employee that the Aztecs came to Seattle with their white jerseys.  The Sounders were the home team and had the right to choose.  They chose white.  So the Aztecs had to scramble and have these jerseys printed up.

Notice that Andy Rolland's number is much larger than other 1978 numbers.  It is also white instead of black over white.  Not sure if this is a variation or a poorly made jersey.  Andy's name is misspelled also.
