Other: For the US Bicentennial, the NASL organized 3 exhibitions games against foreign teams. "Team USA" was generally referred to as "Team America." I refer to it as "Team USA" to avoid confusion with the 1983 Team America. Team USA was comprised of players playing in the NASL. Most were not American players.

Team USA wore a different jersey for each game:
Red against England in Philadelphia
White against Italy in Washington DC
Blue against Brazil in Seattle.

Pele was sponsored by Puma in 1976. He had the three Adidas sleeve stripes covered by tape.
