2. against local non-NASL competition. These were usually  preseason warm up games.
3. against NASL teams in tournaments such as the Sunshine International or the Trans-Atlantic Challenge Cup (TACC).  I do not list NASL preseason games.
4. Extra NASL exhibition games the Cosmos played in 1975 and 1976 to defer the cost of signing Pele.
5. Games not involving NASL teams, but played as part of an NASL package. These were usually doubleheaders.
